HURRICANE CENTER LINKS WORLDWIDE WEATHER INFORMATION
With Bertha out of the way and Cesar next
in line, the Rice University News Office has established a “Hurricane Center” on the World Wide Web, linking tropical storm-
related information with weather and climate resources.
The center features a list of experts on global weather and the
effects of tropical storms on coastal areas. If you need satellite
images of current weather conditions or if you want to stare into
the eye of a hurricane, just call up the Hurricane Tracking Center
for the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico.
The URL for the Rice Hurricane Tracking Center is<http://riceinfo.rice.edu/projects/reno/Rice.news/Hurricane/index.ht
ml>.
