DE LANGE – WOODLANDS CONFERENCE: MEDIA
INFORMATION

The following information is designed to assist
reporters and photographers assigned to cover the De Lange – Woodlands
Conference at Rice University on March 3-5.

The conference, cosponsored by Rice University and the Houston Advanced
Research Center, will take place in Stude Hall of the Alice Pratt Brown Hall,
beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day.

Media are required to sign in and present photo I.D. at the media table.
Print media can watch the conference either from the hall or from the media work
room. Television coverage of the conference will be by “pool” feed into the
media work room. A mult-box will provide audio/visual feed from the conference
site. Phone lines will be available for computers.

Lunch will be provided for working members of the press each day of the
conference. Television coverage of the luncheon speakers will also be by “pool”
feed.

Real-time Cu-SeeMe video and audio will be available of all speakers except

Parking is available in the Rice stadium lot, which is accessible by taking
either Entrance 12 off Rice Boulevard or Entrance 8 off University Boulevard.
Alice Pratt Brown Hall is the building directly to the east of the parking lot.
