Students Win Big Money on Wheel

Rice students Trey Hamilton and Joe Bob Thompson each won more than $3,500
on "Wheel of Fortune," which was taped in Houston in early May. The
two students earned their spot on the show’s college week at a contestant search
held March 23 on campus.

Hamilton, a Hanszen College junior, had the chance to win a car in the bonus
round, but had to settle for the money. Thompson, a Will Rice freshman, had
as much as $20,000, but lost most of it after an incorrect guess.
