Rice University observes Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a holiday on Monday, Jan. 18.
To commemorate King’s birth, the Rice University Black Students Association (BSA) will hold a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. Jan. 18, beginning at Willy’s statue in the Academic Quad and proceeding to the Rice Chapel for a program including a BSA Gospel Choir performance.
