Fifty-one Rice University students have been selected to appear in the 1998-1999 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. They were chosen from a sizable number of juniors, seniors and graduate students nominated by masters, departments, administrators and other students. The recipients will be awarded certificates through the colleges and the Graduate Student Association later this spring.

Rice was designated its quota of recipients by the Who’s Who board, based on current enrollment and degrees awarded. As stipulated in the Student Association Constitution, a committee of administrators, faculty and students selected the recipients based on scholarship ability, participation and leadership in academic and extracurricular activities, citizenship and service to Rice, and potential for future achievement.
