It was a clean sweep for Will Rice College in the ’99 Beer Bike, held Saturday, March 27, at the Rice Stadium Track. Started in 1957, Beer Bike teams are made up of the 10 best bikers and the 10 best chuggers from each college and from the Graduate Student Association (GSA). The event includes three divisions: alumni, men’s and women’s.

In the relay, chuggers must drink the allotted amount of either beer or water–if a participant is under 21–before bikers can start the race around the track. Teams complete the race when all 20 team members have taken their turns.
