Mikos Named International Fellow for 2000, Beyond

The International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering recently awarded Antonios Mikos, the John W. Cox Professor of Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering, the status of international Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE) for 2000 and beyond. The honorary fellow status is awarded for life.
Mikos will receive a certificate at a special ceremony during the World Biomaterials Congress 2000, scheduled for May 15-20, 2000, in Hawaii.
The mission of the fellows is to foster the field of biomaterials science and engineering and to support its professional development as a practical and intellectual endeavor.
