Basketball Fans Gear Up for Hot Dogs and Hoops

Fans of men’s and women’s Owls basketball don’t have long to wait. Both seasons officially begin Nov. 19.

Those who want to see Owls basketball action even sooner can attend a fun event this weekend. “Halloween, Hot Dogs and Hoops,” on Oct. 31 at Autry Court from 1 to 5:30 p.m., offers fans an opportunity to watch this year’s teams and have an all-American meal–all for only $1.

Fans can dine on chili dogs, hot dogs, chips and soda and watch the women’s and men’s teams practice and scrimmage. After the scrimmages, fans can meet the players. The men will practice and scrimmage from 1 to 3 p.m., and the women will practice and scrimmage from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
