Unrau Named Interim Director of Media Office

Lia Unrau, science editor in the Office of Media Relations and Information, has been named interim director of the office. She will oversee its operations, including media relations efforts and production of the Rice News, until a director is named.

Unrau is temporarily filling the post previously held by Michael Cinelli, who accepted a position as a senior accounts supervisor with Hill & Knowlton, an international public relations agency with offices in Houston.

Before coming to Rice in 1995, Unrau was the director of the news service in the Office of Public Relations at Simpson College.
