Ward Honored as Association’s 2000 Lecturer

Herb Ward, the Foyt Family Chair in Environmental Science and Engineering, has been named the distinguished lecturer for 2000 by the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP).

As the AEESP distinguished lecturer, Ward will provide seminars to host institutions around the world.

AEESP is made up of national and international professors in academic programs who provide education in the science and technology of environmental protection. Founded in 1963 as a private nonprofit organization, AEESP includes more than 700 members in universities worldwide.

Ward’s seminar topics include “Environmental Remediation Technology Development: National Needs, Opportunities and Challenges” and “Bioattenuation of Contaminants in the Subsurface: Strategies for Engineering Control.”
