WRC to Honor Those Who Make an Impact

In conjunction with the fourth anniversary of the Women’s Resource Center (WRC), outstanding members of the Rice community will be presented with the center’s Impact Awards.

Eighteen awards will be given to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and alumni. Nominations are being accepted now. Forms are available from the Women’s Resource Center and are due by Dec. 10.

Each award recipient must meet the following qualifications:

* demonstrate service to the campus and the community,
* demonstrate involvement and participation in student life and activities at Rice and/or beyond,
* work to make a positive impact by raising awareness of women’s issues affecting the community and
* serve as a role model in the empowerment of women.

The awards will be presented along with other activities at the WRC anniversary, scheduled for Feb. 11.
