Mail House Earns Top Honors

The U.S. Postal Service awarded Pat Kambhu, manager of delivery services at Rice, the Mail Center Manager Award for a four-state region for improving operations of the campus mail house.

Kambhu received the award last fall during the National Postal Forum in Chicago. She was the sole recipient of the award for the Southwest region, which includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

She was honored for rejuvenating the department mailing operations and improving delivery services by eliminating antiquated procedures and educating employees about U.S. Postal Service changes in technology and standardization.
