New Name for Rice Financial Aid Office

The Rice Financial Aid Office will be renamed Student Financial Services, effective July 1. The name change reflects the university’s emphasis on services to students for financing their educations.

With a focus on providing students and their families with improved customer service and expanded financing options, Student Financial Services better represents the office’s mission: personalized, comprehensive, educational financing choices to families, according to Ann Wright, vice president for enrollment.

“Carl Buck, director of what is now Student Financial Services, plans to expand services substantially. We want to ensure that families, regardless of financial strength, know that Rice is both accessible and affordable,” Wright said.
