RUPD needs
assessment volunteers
The Rice University
Police Department is seeking participants for its assessment
center used to select new campus police officers.
The assessment
center will be held Oct. 13-14. A two-hour assessor and
role-player training session will be held Friday evening,
and the assessment will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Assistance from
the Rice community as assessors and role players has been
essential in selecting the best campus police officers.
The department seeks a diverse group of faculty, staff and
students to evaluate candidates. Those interested should
contact Bill Taylor, police chief, at (713) 348-6333 or <wtaylor@rice.edu>.
