Tutors and
mentors needed at local school

Tutors
and mentors are needed to work with economically disadvantaged
children at McReynold’s Middle School through a partnership
between Rice University and Project GRAD (Graduation Really
Achieves Dreams).

The tutoring
opportunities are paid positions, working eight to 15 hours
per week with an assigned student. Mentoring opportunities
are on a volunteer basis and mentors must maintain weekly
contact and meet monthly with an assigned student. Training
will be provided for the tutoring and mentoring positions.

The program
is designed to help the middle school students realize the
importance of a good education and assist them on the road
to success.
