Staff and faculty are invited to participate in the second annual Harvest Handoff Food Drive and Baking Contest Oct. 25.

Prizes will be awarded to the top two entries in the following categories: breads/muffins, cakes, cookies/brownies, pies, and sugar-free/low-fat desserts. One prize also will be awarded for “Best of Show.” The event will be held in Farnsworth Pavilion, Ley Student Center.

Employees are invited to bring nonperishable food items from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and sample entries and other items. Food and cash contributions will be donated to the Houston Food Bank.

Those wishing to enter the contest may fill out or print the online form at <www.ruf.rice.edu/~stafadv/calendar/bakeoff.htm>. To obtain a print copy of the form contact Rachel Miller at <rmiller@rice.edu> or (713) 348-6148. Forms must be submitted by Oct. 19.

The event is sponsored by the Employee Activity Committee (EAC) of the Staff Advisory Committee.
