science lecture April 25

The final lecture
in the Public Lecture Series in Earth Sciences will examine
what technological, political and economic factors may influence
how society reacts to predicted climate changes.

Neal Lane, university professor and senior fellow at the
James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, will speak
at 7 p.m. April 25 in James A. Baker III Hall.

under President Clinton as assistant to the president for
science and technology. Lane also is a former director of
the National Science Foundation. Widely regarded as a distinguished
