Inclement
Weather Plan

In the
event of severe inclement weather, the commencement
ceremony will take place in Autry Court. Call the
campus police at (713) 348-6000 or the campus operator
at (713) 348-0000 after 7 a.m. the morning of commencement
for confirmation.

• If the inclement weather plan is in effect,
all degree candidates will assemble in Autry Court
by 7:45 a.m.

• Two tickets for family and guests will be distributed
to degree candidates in the Campus Store beginning
May 8. Additional family members and guests may be
accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The ceremony also will be broadcast on the Rice cable
television network for those who cannot be accommodated
in Autry Court. A list of viewing locations will be
available in Autry Court the morning of commencement,
should the ceremony be held in that facility.
