work of Bell Labs J. Hendrik Schöen has been
shown to be fraudulent. James Tour, Chao Professor of Chemistry
and professor of mechanical engineering and materials science
and of computer science, commented on the difficulty of
making the molecular circuits perform the logic operations
of computer chips. Tours novel architecture for the
switches was described.
An article discussed
some possible misdeeds by former Enron chief accounting
officer Richard Causey. Bala Dharan, the J. Howard Creekmore
Professor of Management at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School
of Management, commented, He was doing stuff a CFO
would typically be doing. Usually, the chief accounting
officer simply implements things, puts the numbers in place.
