Steven C. Currall, the William and Stephanie Sick Professor of Entrepreneurship, associate professor of management, psychology and statistics, and founding director of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, recently published an article titled “The Co-Evolution of Trust, Control and Learning in Joint Ventures” in Organization Science. He recently presented “Leveraging University Partnerships to Build Life Science Commercialization Teams” at a conference in Ireland on BioPharma Opportunities, organized by Enterprise Ireland, an economic development agency of the government of Ireland.

Rebekah Drezek, the Stanley C. Moore Assistant Professor of Bioengineering, recently received the Southwest Shakers Award from the Greater Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce.

Lydia Kavraki, the Noah Harding Professor of Computer Science and professor of bioengineering, spoke on “Computing Meets the Physical World” at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Computer Science Distinguished Speaker Series. She delivered one of the keynote lectures, titled “From Robots to Biomolecules,” at the 2004 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference.
