HR, ACT training classes now available online
With the start of a new semester comes new opportunities for the ongoing professional development of Rice employees. The new Human Resources and Administrative Career Training Program training schedules are now posted and ready to take registration.
Highlights of the spring HR Training schedule include:
• “Taking Charge of Change” and “Supporting Change” – two courses designed to assist individuals and supervisors coping with change personally and within their teams; offered March 17 and 31, respectively
• “Interviewing: More than a Gut Feeling” – a course designed to provide hiring supervisors with the skills necessary to conduct effective job interviews; offered March 24
• “The Art of Delegating” – a course whose participants will gain a further understanding of, and then practice, the skills that effective delegators use daily; offered March 22
• “Effective Discipline” – a new course that aims to provide team leaders with an effective technique of discipline; offered Feb. 24
Favorites like “Time Management for the Time-Challenged,” “Accountability That Works” and “A Taste of FISH!” (half-day format) will be making return appearances.
