Michael Deem, the John W. Cox Professor in Biochemical and Genetic Engineering and professor of physics and astronomy, has been elected to the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering College of Fellows.

Paul Dholakia, assistant professor of management at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, gave a seminar on “Customer Self-Determination and Relational Marketing Outcomes” to the marketing group at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, Feb. 11 and to the marketing faculty at the Harvard Business School Feb. 16.

Uwe Steiner, associate professor of German studies, delivered the keynote lecture, “Die Erfahrung der Moderne bei Walter Benjamin,” at the conference “Walter Benjamin – Denker in Extremen” at Leiden (The Netherlands) Jan. 20-22.
