Book sale set for Nov. 4-5 at Rice University

Fifty-cent paperbacks, $2 hardbacks and $1 CDs are among the bargains that will be available at the Friends of Fondren Library’s 2005 Book Sale at Rice University Nov. 4-5.

In addition to fiction, nonfiction, literature, poetry, mysteries, cookbooks, children’s books, gardening books and foreign language books (especially German), the sale will feature fine collections of 20 th century English literature, books about books, architecture and art.

The sale will be held in Grand Hall at Rice Memorial Center, 6100 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 4 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 5. A pre-sale and reception will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 3, but a $10 admission fee will be charged that evening to defray the cost of wine and other refreshments.
