In its Sept. 5 issue, Forbes magazine placed the Jones School in the top 50 U.S. business schools, as it has been every year Forbes has done the ranking. The ranking is a five-year ranking, based on the five-year MBA gain in salary, the number of years to payback and the opportunity cost of attending business school. This year the Class of 2000 was surveyed for the ranking. The Jones School is ranked No. 41, while holding the No. 20 slot in the category “Salary in 2004.” The Class of 2000 raised their average salary from $45,000 prior to entering the program to $115,000 within five years of graduation, the highest salary increase of any other Texas business school ranked by Forbes.
