Crew offers rowers for rent

It’s that time of year again when Rice Crew lends itself out to the faculty and staff, helping them with whatever needs to be done, in an effort to raise money to support the team. The event will take place April 2, 9 and 15.

For $60 a member of the Rice community can hire/rent Rice Crew team members for four hours of work.

For more information, e-mail <crew@rice.edu>.

Habitat for Humanity opportunity

Faculty and staff have the opportunity to use Rice Volunteer Time (RVT) to use up to eight hours of volunteer time to help build homes with Habitat for Humanity for low-income families displaced by the recent hurricanes who plan to remain in Houston.

Volunteer time must be preapproved by the faculty or staff member’s department and must be coordinated through Mac Griswold, director of the Community Involvement Center.

For more information, e-mail Griswold at <Griswold@rice.edu> or Colleen Dutton, director of employee relations, at <cdutton@rice.edu>.

Massages available at discount

Faculty and staff can take advantage of the relaxing benefits of massage at the Rice Wellness Center on campus. Appointments can be scheduled for March 13-17.

The discounted rates include $65 for a one-hour deep-tissue massage and $55 for a one-hour Swedish massage. Payment can be made by check, cash or credit card.

To make an appointment, call 713-240-3110.
