Clearance sale at bookstore

All clearance items at the Rice Bookstore are 25 percent off through June 3. This includes gifts and clothing. The offer is not valid with any other discounts.

Day care offers open house

Rice University is offering up to 10 days of backup child care through Bright Horizons Houston.

With the increased need for child care in the summer, Bright Horizons is hosting an open house for Rice employees from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 3.

Reservations can be made up to one month in advance or as late as needed. The center is located at 1001 McKinney St., Suite 170.

Carpooling Web site now online

In response to requests from faculty, staff and students, the Department of Transportation and Parking has created an online database for anyone interested in carpooling. To take advantage of this free service, visit <www.park-trans.rice.edu>.

Open enrollment ends today

Open enrollment for health-care benefits ends today at 11:59 p.m. for Rice faculty and staff.
