Author Da Chen will relate his experiences on becoming a best-selling Chinese writer in the United States in ”From China to Random House” at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy.

Da Chen’s first work, ”Colors of the Mountain,” received broad critical acclaim when it appeared in 2000. Since then he has published ”Sounds of the River,” ”China’s Son” and his most recent book, ”Brothers.”
