GCC one-day symposium set for Dec. 4
Nov. 30 is the deadline to register online for the Dec. 4 Gulf Coast Consortia’s one-day symposium on ”Data Integration in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.” The symposium will be held from 8:15 a.m. to
6:30 p.m. in McMurtry Auditorium, Anne and Charles Duncan Hall.
Individual high-throughput technologies, such as aCGH and RNA expression microarrays, can be used to examine various aspects of the same biomedical question. Of current interest and research is the possible integration of such data to provide more comprehensive analyses. The talks at this one-day symposium will address issues of integrating various data sources and information for biomedical research, especially from a bioinformatics perspective.
Posters are invited in the general area of bioinformatics, computational biology and genomics. A free lunch will be provided to those who register.
