Former President Bill Clinton to speak Feb. 8

The James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy announced former President Bill Clinton will speak at Rice Feb. 8.

CLINTON

The talk will be held at 3 p.m. at Stude Hall in the Shepherd School’s Alice Pratt Brown Hall.

Clinton was elected the 42nd president of the United States in 1992 and served two terms. Since stepping down, Clinton has been involved in the Clinton Global Initiative forum and humanitarian relief efforts, including campaigns to help the victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and Hurricane Katrina.

Clinton also wrote a best-selling autobiography in 2004 titled ”My Life.” He has been active in the creation of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Little Rock, Ark.
