July fitness classes announced
Registration is now open for the Recreation Center’s July fitness classes: Introduction to Yoga, Introduction to Vinyasa Flow and Cardio Jazz (session two).
Introduction to Yoga is a great place for individuals of all ages and fitness levels to start a yoga practice. The class includes a step-by-step introduction to fundamental yoga postures and breathing practices. Stretch, strengthen and release tension while developing concentration and awareness in a supportive, safe environment. No experience or flexibility is required.

Tuesdays, 4-5 p.m.
Harjo Dance Studio, Recreation Center
Cost: Students, $15; faculty/staff/community, $25
Vinyasa Flow links yoga postures into a creative sequence combining breath and movement to promote heat, flexibility, balance and grace. This introduction series will reinforce basic principles of Hatha yoga, including alignment, meditation and deep stretching, while exploring transitions, creativity and moving awareness.

July 11-Aug. 1
Wednesdays, 4-5 p.m.

Cost: Students, $15; Faculty/staff/community, $25
Cardio Jazz (session two) is an introduction to jazz dance movement. It includes simple, fast-paced dance steps that give a healthy dose of cardio, strength and stretch moves. You don’t have to be a dancer to have fun taking Cardio Jazz. This class is open to all levels.
