Direct deposit offers easiest, quickest way to get paid

Hurricane season is here, and the payroll group can help remove one “to do” from your storm preparation list. It’s called “direct deposit,” and it’s an easy way to collect your pay no matter what the weather is doing.
Whether a major storm hits, whether the bank or check cashing service is open, your paycheck goes directly into a designated bank account. Direct deposit is also a “green” choice since it eliminates waiting in a car in a long teller line.
Direct deposit forms are enclosed with each payroll check if an employee isn’t already signed up. To enroll, fill out the form, attach a voided check and send the information to the Payroll Office, MS-71, or hand-deliver it to Allen Center, Room 200A.
Employees who use direct deposit receive a paper stub detailing their payroll information.
It’s also possible to eliminate all paperwork related to paychecks. Log in to Esther, select “employee” and then choose “suppress direct deposit stubs” under the “pay information” heading. Esther also provides earnings and deductions history, and current and prior pay stubs.
