“Both Anne and Keith have outstanding qualifications, as well as the experience and leadership to help us provide more services as we grow the size of our student body,” said Chris Munoz, vice president for enrollment. “We are very excited to have them.”
Todd is no stranger to Rice. He served as Rice’s associate director of admission and financial aid in the late 1990s. Before returning to Rice this year as director of admission, he served in the same position for five years at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He worked in admission and taught English at Stanford University. He was founding director of the State Department’s Gilman Scholarship Program, which funds lower-income undergraduates for study abroad, and was a Fulbright Scholar to Germany in literature.
“Keith had a substantial role in growing the applicant pool by 19 percent at Northwestern while managing their music school admission process. He also played a substantial role in athletic admissions,” said Munoz. “This experience will be a valuable asset as we work to meet our Vision for the Second Century goal to grow undergraduate student enrollment by 30 percent.”
Walker too joined Rice already familiar with the university and the staff in her department. She had called on Rice for several years as a senior account executive for Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corp., based in Round Rock, before coming to work here as director of student financial services.
Previously, she worked at Brazosport College as director, enrollment management and financial aid, and as an instructor of market research. Her career includes increasingly responsible account manager positions.
“Anne’s organizational and leadership skills will improve the overall customer service to students at Rice. She accomplished this while at Texas Guaranteed,” said Munoz.
