Book sale bargains this weekend
Friends of Fondren sale features thousands of items

Fifty-cent paperbacks and $2 hardbacks are among the thousands of
bargains that will be available at the Friends of Fondren Library’s
2007 Book Sale at Rice University Oct. 25-27.

In addition to
fiction, nonfiction, literature, poetry, children’s books, foreign
language books, architecture books, cookbooks and hobby and gardening
books, the sale will feature first editions, VHS movies, music scores,
music CDs and recorded books.

The sale will be held in the Grand
Hall of Rice Memorial Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 26 and from 10
a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 27.

A pre-sale and reception will be held
from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 25, with a $10 admission fee charged that evening
to defray the cost of refreshments.
