Two Rice Alliance events planned for November

The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship will host an “Elevator Pitch Session” at the 2007 Texas Life Science Conference Nov. 1-2 at the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine, 1825 Pressler, in the Texas Medical Center.

The session will feature 15-20 of the most promising Texas life science companies who will present their elevator pitches. The best pitches will be recognized in closing ceremonies Friday.

The following week, the Rice Alliance will present the Fifth Annual Rice Alliance Information Technology and Web 2.0 Venture Forum Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Janice and Robert McNair Hall.

One of the largest technology venture forums in North America, the event will feature up to 50 early stage information and Web 2.0 technology companies, entrepreneurs, investors such as Venture Capital and Angel, business leaders and service providers.

The keynote speaker will be Jeff Henley, chairman of Oracle.
