Construction updates
The Department of Facilities, Engineering and Planning has provided a construction update for its major on-campus projects as of Oct. 24.
Duncan and McMurtry colleges
Both tower cranes have been installed and are operational, storm sewer work was started at the north and south ends of the site, water lines were relocated adjacent to Martel College and several trees were relocated to the new Virgin’s Walk. In the next few weeks, utility work adjacent to Abercrombie Lab will take place and additional trees will be relocated.
Autry Court Renovation
Demolition of the interior continues and has extended to the front exterior. Tansite panels inside Autry Court are also being removed.
South Plant
The first section of building slab, which will include the boiler room and a portion of the control room, was poured Oct. 25. The remainder of the control room and the electrical room slab is scheduled to be poured in the coming week. Chilled water pipes have been installed and are now being backfilled.
