Halas to be featured on CNN International

Electrical and Computer Engineering’s Naomi Halas will be featured over Thanksgiving weekend on CNN International’s new half-hour special, “Just Imagine.”

The program will explore cutting-edge developments that will shape the world in 2020. Halas, the Stanley C. Moore Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, professor of bioengineering and professor of chemistry, will describe her work on noninvasive cancer therapies involving gold nanoshells.

Hosted by British designer Ross Lovegrove, “Just Imagine” will feature specialists in the fields of communities, health, living spaces, energy resources, transportation and education. The debut program is scheduled to air on CNN International at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and again at 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 25.
