Holiday meals available on campus

Sammy’s Cafe will offer a Thanksgiving meal Nov. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The $6.99 meal includes a choice of entrée, two vegetable dishes, a roll and pie. The $7.99 meal includes an additional entrée.

Entrees to be offered are roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, honey ham with pineapple sauce and a vegan tofu and eggplant bake. Side dishes include cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, candied yams with marshmallows and sweet peas. Pecan and pumpkin pie are available for dessert. Mixed greens with tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots and corn chowder are also available. Call 713-348-5877 for more information.

The Cohen House invites faculty, staff, and their guests to a holiday dinner and dance Dec. 1. Starting at 6 p.m. the predinner activities will feature cocktails, photos with Santa and children’s entertainment. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. and the dance follows.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children. The adult menu will include a choice of beef tenderloin medallions in a brandy butter sauce, grilled salmon with tomato basil vinaigrette or vegetarian roasted root vegetables.
