Service awards to be presented Feb. 6

Rice University will hold its annual service award ceremony Feb. 6 in Grand Hall, Rice Memorial Center.

Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and the recognition ceremony and presentation of the Elizabeth Gillis Award for Exemplary Service will begin at 2 p.m. A selection of refreshments, including vegetarian and fish options, will be available.

Throughout the year, departments across the campus have presented service awards to celebrate employee anniversaries. This service award ceremony will honor all these faculty and staff for their service to Rice. Honorees who have not ordered their service award will be able to place their order at the ceremony. 

More than 350 employees and retirees will be recognized at this year’s ceremony.
