GSA calls for award nominations

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is seeking nominations for its annual awards, which recognize outstanding graduate students, faculty and staff who do their utmost to enrich the lives of Rice graduate students.

Faculty, staff, graduate students and graduate student alumni are invited to submit letters of nomination. The deadline for submission is March 28.

The GSA confers the following awards: Faculty Teaching/Mentoring Award, the Faculty/Staff Service Award, the Friend of Rice Graduate Students Award and the Sallyport Award. Given only to graduate students are the Robert Lowry Patten Award and the GSA Service Award.

Letters of nomination should be submitted via e-mail to Nastassja Lewinski, internal vice president of the GSA, at nal@rice.edu or by campus mail to MS 527. The Sallyport Award should be submitted directly to the Student-Alumni Liaison Committee at lblinn@rice.edu or to MS 520.
