Two Rice University professors among first to be published in new SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences

Two Rice University professors are among the authors of the first papers that will be published in the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics’ new SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences (SIIMS).

Liliana Borcea, professor of computational and applied mathematics, is a co-author of “Edge Illumination and Imaging of Extended Reflectors” and Wotao Yin, assistant professor of computational and applied mathematics, is a co-author of “Bregman Iterative Algorithms for Minimization with Applications to Compressed Sensing.”

These articles are available online at http://epubs.siam.org. Electronic access to all the issues published in 2008 will be free.

SIIMS is an all-electronic journal aimed at providing a broad, authoritative source for fundamental results in imaging sciences with a combination of mathematics and applications.
