Rice’s Fourth of July weekend extended

In appreciation of all the hard work and progress the Rice community has made this year toward realizing the Vision for the Second Century, Rice President David Leebron has designated July 7 as a summer recess day, with no charge to benefit time.

Those who must be on campus that Monday to keep summer programs running or the university operating safely will receive an additional day’s pay or benefit day to use at another time.
