IRS announces new mileage reimbursement rates
Due to the recent swells in gasoline prices and their impact on personal finances, the Internal Revenue Service announced that it is raising the automobile reimbursement rates for the final six months of 2008.
Starting July 1, the standard mileage-reimbursement rates for car usage will become 58.5 cents per mile for business travel and 27 cents per mile for relocation-related or medical-care-related expenses.
