Mail delivery to be halted during summer recess day

The Rice University Post Office will be closed July 7 because of the summer recess day. Delivery Services will be staffed on that day from 8 a.m. to noon to receive mail and packages. There will be no regular scheduled delivery or pick-up of mail, and no outbound mail will be processed.

Departments that require mail delivery that morning must send an e-mail to umf@rice.edu. Deliveries will be made to these departments between 10 a.m. and noon.

Anyone expecting shipments from the Postal Service, FedEx, UPS or other couriers that require special handling during the recess should send an e-mail to umf@rice.edu. Provide the recipient’s name, phone number, department, instructions for handling and the courier name. Unless other arrangements have been made, shipments will be held during the recess and distributed July 8.
