An article written by Victoria Arbizu-Sabater ’99, lecturer of Spanish in the Center for the Study of Languages, was recently published in the anthology ”Mujer y género en las letras hispánicas” (Woman and Gender in the Hispanic Literature). The anthology was recognized as the “Book of the Week” for May 25-31 by the Portal of Hispanicism, an important resource center for Hispanic studies worldwide.
“The Sun,” written by David Alexander, the Andrew Hays Buchanan Associate Professor of Astrophysics and associate professor of physics and astronomy, was recently published by Greenwood Publishers as part of the Greenwood Guides to the Universe Series.
Michael Grojean has been named director of custom programs for the Office of Executive Education at Rice’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business. Grojean will lead efforts related to new business development and the design and delivery of all custom Executive Education programs. He will manage customer relationships with a wide range of senior management, corporate learning and human resource management personnel in major corporations to identify opportunities for custom programs as well as take a lead role in the development of a client service strategy for these programs.
