To infinity and beyond!

At last weekend’s SpaceFest, it was one small stomp for kids, one giant leap for their interest in science as children got a lesson on the basics of how rockets lift off. Called “Shoot the Moon,” it was one of several activities offered at the four-day celebration in downtown Houston commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Rice University co-sponsored the celebration along with Discovery Green, NASA and Houston Museum of Natural Science.
