O-Week: New students find fun at the museumsNew students got to experience the wonders of the nearby museum district when they took part in O-week’s Passport to Houston night out. With events held throughout the year, Passport to Houston is designed to engage undergraduate students with the city so that students are more community-oriented, socially engaged and culturally aware. Students had the whole museum at their fingertips and didn’t waste any time checking out the exhibits and features there. Later in the evening, Rice President David Leebron, University Representative Y. Ping Sun and Dean of Undergraduates Robin Forman met the students at the Houston Museum of Natural Science and toured the Genghis Khan exhibit. A full slate of Passport to Houston offerings can be found at http://www.students.rice.edu/students/Passport.asp. Look for more on the Passport to Houston program in next week’s Rice News.
