Towers topic of architecture lectures

Rice Design Alliance opens its fall lecture series, titled “Getting High: Towers in Architecture,” with a talk by Peter Buchanan Sept. 16. The London-based architect, urban planner, critic and writer will speak at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Fine Arts (MFAH), Houston’s Brown Auditorium, 1001 Bissonnet. Tickets are $7 for students, RDA and MFAH members and senior citizens and will be sold as available 30 minutes before the lecture. Series tickets are also available. A pre-lecture wine reception will begin at 6 p.m. in the MFAH foyer.
