Passport fair coming to campus Sept. 21
Delivery Services is hosting a passport fair Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Ley Student Center’s Kelley Lounge.
Faculty, staff and students will be able to apply for passports, renew passports and ask questions about passport services.
Traditional adult passport books cost $75, and children’s cost $60. Passport cards cost $20 for adults and $10 for children. Passport cards cannot be used for air travel but will facilitate entry at U.S. land and sea ports of entry for people arriving from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. The regular processing fee is $25, but a fee of $60 will expedite the process. Payment can be made by check or money order.
Those born in the U.S. should bring two recent two-by-two-inch color photographs, proof of U.S. citizenship and Social Security number. Photos may be obtained onsite for an extra $15 fee. Those born outside of the U.S. should bring their previous passport, report of birth abroad, Certificate of Naturalization and Certificate of Citizenship. For details, go to www.travel.state.gov.
To shorten your wait time, RSVP to Ute Franklin, Delivery Services manager, at umf@rice.edu or 713-348-5826. Walk-ins are also welcome.
