Have a slamming good time at VADA event Oct. 27

Rice University’s Visual and Dramatic Arts (VADA) Department is hosting the second annual VADA SLAM at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Rice Media Center. This one-night event features extremely short — there will be an egg timer — presentations of recent works by faculty and staff artists at Rice. The art-filled lightning rounds will be followed by a Q-and-A session and a small reception.

“Visual Arts at Rice is undergoing a reboot,” said Christopher Sperandio, assistant professor of visual and dramatic arts. “Come and see what the fuss is about.”

The Rice Visual Arts faculty, lecturers and staff presenters will include Sperandio, Karin Broker, Jeff Fegley, Paul Hester, Brian Huberman, Darra Keeton, Randall McCabe, Kurt Mueller, Lily Cox Richards, James Sham, George Smith, John Sparagana, Tish Stringer and Geoff Winningham.
