Members of the Rice community gathered on Veterans Day to
honor and remember the men and women who have served in the military.
Rice counts more than 100 veterans among its faculty, staff and
students.

Sponsored by Rice’s Human Resources Department, the ceremony featured remarks by Col. Daniel Ragsdale, visiting American Council on
Education fellow.

Biochemistry and Cell Biology, was selected as this year’s veteran honoree.

Left: The
ceremony included a flag raising by the Navy ROTC and special
recognition of Rice employees and students for their military service.
